Passing on the Torch of Motherhood
It has now been a little over a week since Ethan has joined our team. Every moment with him has been a treasure. Over the last week I have also been given another eternal treasure . . . the torch of motherhood. It is a tradition in my family that whenever a women has a baby her mother comes and stays with the family to nurture and take care of everyone during the recovery process. She makes the meals, cleans the house, does the laundry, takes care of baby while mommy and daddy get some sleep, etc. Whenever I had a question or needed help my mom was right there. Hopefully someday I will become the caliber of mother that she is. Having a child makes you realize that heaven is all around a righteous mother giving her strength to be an angel to the world. I am so grateful for good mothers! Thanks mom, I love you!

Heaven sent us an angel!!!
On November 10, 2009 at 6:06pm Ethan Conrad Thompson joined our family weighing in at 8.8 pounds and 20 inches long. My little brother Jacob summed up how we feel about Ethan when he said "mom I have never felt so much joy". Ethan has made us happier then we ever thought possible. Now our favorite pass time is to lay next to him and breathe him in. We just can't get enough of him! I secretly love when he wakes up in the middle of the night so I can have an excuse to hold him again. We thank Heavenly Father everyday for letting us have him.

The final days!!!!
So yesterday my mom called and asked me if I wanted to do a photo shoot before my belly is gone. Kaleb had class till five thirty so I agreed and these are some of the pictures from the shoot. Some of the pictures were taken by my mom and some by my sister M-star. Let's just say we went a little crazy.

Baby at the beach!
Last week Kaleb and his dad and brothers went on the deer hunt. So, when I heard that my family was taking a trip to Cali I decided that I did not want to be alone for 3 1/2 days and went with them. For the first time in seven years the entire family was there. We all piled into our big family van and after a traditional stop at Cracker Barrel we headed to Newport, California. The car ride was very nice thanks to my family giving me the back seat almost to myself along with a mountain of pillows to lay on. For two days we partied on the beach and ate lots of delicious food. Even though the trip was amazing I missed Kaleb a lot. What can I say, when your husband is as incredible as Kaleb it is hard to stay away.

Preparing for approaching Parenthood!!
As parenthood approaches Kaleb and I are doing everything that we can to prepare. Thanks to the tremendous kindness of so many our little guy is going to have a home full of warmth, love, food, the gospel, music and everything else that he needs.
I'm a workin on the wardrobe...
This i going to be my special rocking chair...so comfy!!!!
As a future mom and a future dad we realize that certain things change. (Ha ha understatement) So we are doing certain things as much as possible before our chance to do them becomes less and less:
-Staying up late
-Going to parties
-Taking naps together
-Sleeping in
-Going to the Temple
-Sitting next to each other at church
-etc.
-If you have any recommendations please tell us
