Epic Year = Epic Post

Ok so we have a little catching up to do since I have been MIA for the last two months. Let me explain myself...
1. Official Announcement: Kaleb Conrad Thompson and Lindsey Nicole Thompson graduated from Brigham Young University April 2012. It has been a long road but we made it!!
2. Kaleb got in to University of Louisville Dental School and Roseman University Dental school. After much prayer (emphasis on the much) we decided to attend Roseman. Which means 4 more years in UT. School starts in August.
3. The third and grandest annoucement is that our handsome, healthy wonderful little boy Teagan Neal Thompson joined our family on April 25th 2012, weighing in at 7.3 pounds, 20 inches. Labor was a breeze, which breeze is not usually a word associated with labor but it's true! I labored for 4 hours and pushed for 9 minutes when BAM he came. It was AWESOME! Ethan is the best big brother ever and we are so grateful Teagan is here! (Ethan calls him Teagy)
4. We MOVED!! (Pictures of the new house coming soon) I would like to pay tribute to our first house by this little poem:
You were small but we became a family within your walls.
You were small but you housed our first two children.
You were small but you kept us safe.
You were small but the spirit dwelt with in your walls.
You were small but we loved you!
I think that is all of our recent changes! Below are some pictures Awesome Ashley took. You rock Ash!

Dear Ethan,

I have decided that at least once a week, (ok I know my current record is bad) to write Ethan a little letter containing cute/fun/special things he did that week. In essence a little journal of stories from his childhood so he can share them with his kids! So here we go:

Dear Ethan, 4/2/2012

Two nights ago we were driving home from Grammy Pfluegy's and you were trying to tell me something. I couldn't quite tell if you were saying, "my farter" or "my father", so I asked you to say it again but louder. Currently at your ripe old age of 2 years and 5 months you must think that louder means to whisper because you repeated what you said more softly then you had before. Needless to say I didn't understand you so I said, "What?" In response you sighed and said "never mind". Looking in the mirror at your little crest fallen expression I couldn't help but smile. I contorted my arm around to hold yours while still watching the road of course, and told you that I wanted to hear what you had to say I just needed you to say it louder. So... you changed to a different story. Mommy's little chatter box ;)

The picture below is proof that your favorite food is "Chinese noodles". Which is technically what you call any pasta.

Anyways I love you son! Daddy and I treasure the the precious spark you bring to your lives!

We will love you forever. We will love you for always.

Yours forever,
Daddy and Mommy

A much needed update

Hey everyone it has been months so I thought I would give the old blog an update. For a Christmas/Valentines present Kaleb took me on a get away to a resort in Moab. It was amazing! I can't decide what was my favorite part the mountain biking down rock faces, the fine dining, the cabin, the book on cd we listened to, or being alone with my incredible husband. I have also included some footage of Ethan.

Ten month Photo Shoot

Let's get a little update on Team Thompson shall we. We are all going to BYU, yes this includes Ethan haha kinda. We are workin hard and loving life. Kaleb is preparing for the DAT coming up this Spring and Ethan can say dadda, momma, gogo, pass and up. Some of our favorite family activities include passing any ball, playing in the toilet water, making messes, munching and laughing. The pictures on this post were done by my wonderfully talented sister Emily. Thanks again Em! One of my favorites is the little Nikon commercial we have in the top pic. Beautiful baby boy we love you so much! You have made us more happy then we could ever imagine. Oh by the way Ethan has a really cheesy side if you can't tell by his scrunchy face in some of the pictures. He makes it whenever you say, "show me your cheesy smile."

I am going to eat that camera if you take another picture!

Swiss cheese anyone?

Picture Extravaganza

I have a little catching up to do. Life has been a little crazy for us for the last few months with school and work, but we are doing really well. Kaleb has changed gears so we are now looking at going to Dental school. Where? I have no idea. I started a risk and insurance consulting business and Ethan is working really hard on growing hair. The week before finals we went to Newport, CA with my family and had a blast! The beach was awesome and the waves were just right. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Here are some pictures that my friend/roommate Carly took. She is extremely talented, beautiful, kind, thoughtful, and I could keep going but there is not a blog big enough. Thank you Carly!

Seriously Shocked!!

Two weeks ago I was watching TV (Glenn Beck rules!) when the phone rang. Not wanting to be rude to the person on the other end of the line I went to turn the TV off. As my finger touched the power button I felt an audible SHOCK!! Can anyone guess what happened? You guessed it! I totally fried the 40in flat screen TV our employer Dave put in our apartment. After attempting to turn the TV on for twenty minutes I sheepishly called Dave to inform him of my electrifying experience. Dave responded so kindly and with a little chuckle told me it was probably ruined. At that point I thought Kaleb and I would never watch a BYU game, or have movie date night again. But my fear was in vain. A week later Dave walked into our apartment, handed me a receipt, and said, "it will be here Friday." My first thought was that he had ordered some stuff for the complex like he normally does. But as I looked carefully at the receipt I read, "42in plasma HDTV." You can only imagine how shocked (no pun intended) I was to see this. When the TV arrived Dave helped us put it up and he made a cool little invention by the power button that grounds you when you touch it. Bye-Bye electricity. The moral of this story is that we have the best boss that anyone could ever ask for. Dave we love you and are so blessed to get to learn from you everyday!
We can now just lay Ethan in his bed and he will fall asleep! Snoop Dog!

An Ethan Update

I'm sorry that it has been a while since I updated the blog. But I just wanted to give everyone far away (you know who you are) a little Ethie update. He is HUGE! (When I say huge I mean long!) Every morning when I see him sleeping or looking at me I am blown away that Heavenly Father let me have such a precious boy. Kaleb and could not be happier! Here are some pictures, but he changes everyday.
